Our team of instructors brings over 80 years of combined law enforcement and tactical expertise, specializing in firearms, psychomotor skills, active shooter response, de-escalation, and advanced K9 integration. Every instructor is an active law enforcement officer, meaning the tactics we teach are the same ones we use in real-world situations.

Meet Our President & Training Director
With more than 23 years of active law enforcement experience, Song Kang serves as President and Training Director of ETC Tactical. He currently serves as a Law Enforcement Specialist at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), where he provides instruction in firearms, basic tactics, active threat response, physical control tactics, use of force, non-emergency vehicle operations, and traffic encounters.
For more than 18 years, Song has trained hundreds of law enforcement professionals in pistol, rifle, shotgun, and select-fire weapon systems. His specialized experience also includes active threat response, ballistic shield operations, dual-purpose K9 handling and instruction, and tactical medicine instruction.
As the leader of ETC Tactical, Song has developed a cadre of specialized instructors committed to delivering dynamic, practical, and scenario-based training to law enforcement agencies throughout Indiana and beyond. His approach emphasizes realistic training, sound tactics, critical decision-making, and real-world application.
Song’s passion is helping law enforcement professionals and agencies build the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to perform effectively in high-stakes situations. Through ETC Tactical, he is committed to providing relevant, practical training designed to prepare officers for the challenges they may encounter in the field.
